Log the close, not the wick
Wicks are theatre. Closes are the record. In the Saturday clinic we ask everyone to timestamp the close that proved a break, and the close that proved it failed. The wick that scared you at 11:40 does not belong in the log unless the session actually finished there.
This is not a trading rule for live money. It is a study rule so your notebook stops filling with ghosts. After three weeks of close-only notes, most students see their “almost broke” pile shrink. That pile was never a method; it was a mood.
