The quiet retest
After a genuine leave of a range, price often returns. The useful return is usually quieter than the departure: smaller bodies, less overlap with the prior impulse, a test of the broken line rather than a dive through the whole base.
We do not grade pullbacks by how exciting they feel. We grade them by location. If the retest is already deep inside the old range, the break thesis is no longer the same idea. Write that sentence on the chart. It saves the next hour of bargaining with yourself.
